Charity ride in memory of Paul Butcher for YHA
Blue skies and smiles for miles for a fantastic cause

This Saturday, Minehead Merlins completed an epic charity ride in fond memory of Paul Butcher who was instrumental in founding the club.
Young riders of all ages started at Whitstone Post, at the top of Porlock Hill and took various trails down to Bossington for a fuel stop with doughnuts generously donated by GLENMORE BAKERY, ready for the gruelling climb up to Selworthy Beacon before undulating over North Hill to descend into Culvercliffe, Minehead.
One of the young riders: 'Doing the charity ride was a fun experience, as the blue group we started the ride going down Hawkcombe Head and into Porlock on a fun downhill. We then had a break in Bossington, and ate some yummy jammy doughnuts which were donated to the charity ride by Glenmore bakery. After we went up a long hill up to Selworthy beacon, we reached the top and had a quick stop to reenergise and cool down. We then had a nice relaxed cycle downhill to meet our families and supporters down in Culvercliffe.'
Tony (leader): 'Top team effort. We smashed it again...'
HUGE THANKS to all the leaders, riders, donors and supporters who make these rides possible. You are still able to make a donation to the charity YOUTH HOSTELS ASSOCIATION (YHA) on Paul's tribute page using the link below:
